HCPS Cancels After-School Activities, Field Trips

Harford County Public Schools has canceled all after-school activities for Monday.

Citing the tornado watch the county is under through 5 p.m., manager of communications Teri Kranfeled alerted parents with an automated message around 11:40 on Monday morning.

All activities, including the twilight program for alternative education, are canceled.

All outdoor activities and field trips planned for the school day have been canceled. 

"Should our status elevate to a warning, additional actions will be taken, and parents will be notified immediately," Kranefeld said. "We will keep you informed should the dismissal schedule change."
