The fee was put into place this summer and charges students $50 per sport and $25 per club or activity in high school.
According to HCPS's website, fees should not be paid until the team roster is finalized.
"Payments should not be made prior to release of the official roster for any given sport or activity as refunds will not be made available," the website reads.
Additionally, HCPS said activity fees are not yet available for payment, and students should wait for more information from their activity director.
The new pay-to-play policy has sparked outrage among booster clubs, parents, coaches and public officials.
County Executive David Craig, in an interview with Patch, said he is is strongly opposed to the fees and he raised questions regarding guaranteed playing time, and other school funding policies.
