McDonald's Celebrates Harford Teacher of the Year

From 5-8 p.m. on Monday, 20 percent of the Bel Air McDonald's proceeds will go to Bel Air Middle School.

It's time to celebrate Harford's teacher of the year at McDonald's in Bel Air during "McTeacher's Night" Monday.

The event is a chance for the community to thank Harford County's teacher of the year, Christina O’Neill, according to a release from McDonald's.

O'Neill has served as a teacher, reading specialist and literacy leader with Harford County Public Schools, according to the release.

She started at Bel Air Middle School more than a decade ago, in 1994.

The event runs from 5-8 p.m. at the McDonald's located at 599 Baltimore Pike.

According to the school system, 20 percent of all sales during that period will be donated to Bel Air Middle School.

McDonald’s will also give several gifts to O’Neill.

McDonald's Family Restaurants of Greater Baltimore will also be honoring nominees in other counties.
