Photos: Bel Air High Students Help Plant 98 Trees

The Environmental Club at Bel Air High School planted the trees at Heavenly Waters Park.

Students in Environmental Club at Bel Air High School spent about three hours Tuesday morning digging in the dirt to plant 98 trees along Boulton Street in Bel Air at Heavenly Waters Park.

The project was done in partner with Harford County’s Department of Planning and Zoning with granted funds from the Harford County Government, in participation with Governor O’Malley’s Stream Restoration Challenge, The Bellarion reported.

The club, led by teacher Glen Hedelson, planted the tress along a stream adjacent to Kelly Fields, according to The Bellarion. Trees were planted along both sides of the stream to provide shade and vegetation.
