PHOTOS: Patterson Mill Class of 2012

The Patterson Mill High School Class of 2012 graduated Thursday at Edgewood High School.

Despite red on the walls and Rams signs above the stands, Husky pride was dominant at Edgewood High School Thursday.

's Class of 2012 became the first to graduate away from the home school since the school's 2007 inception.

Of all the graduation shots I have seen, the only one that really bothered me was C. Milton Wright. Bouncing beach balls in the air really detracted from the ceremony; do these students really think that the tax dollars we have spent to educate them was a joke? Do they think their high schooling was/is a joke? My guess is that Mr. Wright turned over in his grave at such disrespect. Thank you to seniors in the other high schools who seemed to be more respectful.

Maurice, Get a life!! The Beach balls, now a tradition at CMW, were done at the end of the ceremony and was an expression of the fun and good times these kids shared together for four years. Yes my son is a member of that class and he as well as his classmates took their education very serious as most of them will the next four years in college. When people enjoy what they do they accomplish a lot more. Having fun even when working is a good thing, you should try it.

C. Milton Wright's graduating class, for the past few years, have held the tossing of beach balls until the last student has crossed the stage. It's designed, I think, to be a compromise between disrupting the ceremony and making beach balls a part of the celebration. It's a developing school tradition.
