The MPSSAA state swim meet was held in College Park.

The C. Milton Wright girls set three county records and paddled to a second-place finish in the state swim meet Saturday in College Park.

C. Milton Wright took second in the MPSSAA girls meet, and fourth in the boys meet, as the top representatives from Harford County.

The Mustangs girls topped last year's record in the 200 medley relay, swimming a 1:53.24, besting the 1:54.82 set last year. They won the state title by three seconds.

Part of both of those relay teams was Lauren O'Mara, who also broke her own county reacord in the 100 breast stroke with a time of 1:06.70. O'Mara set the previous record—1:07.18—at the region meet just a week prior. O'Mara won the gold with that performance.

Teammate Megan Cowan broke the county record in the 200 freestyle, touching the wall at 1:55.08. The previous record of 1:56.81, was set by John Carroll's Laura Betzing in 2002. Cowan narrowly won the gold medal in the event.
