Although schools were closed Friday, Harford County Public Schools announced that weekend activities would continue as planned.
"All Saturday and Sunday activities will be held as scheduled due to the great work of our crews," the school system said in a statement Friday afternoon. "Friday evening activities remain canceled."
Schools were closed Friday and all school-sponsored activities and events on school grounds Friday were canceled as a result of the snow. Harford County received more than 7 inches of snow in the overnight storm that was accompanied by below-freezing temperatures.
