WRESTLING: Fallston's Cullison Wins State Title

The Fallston senior won the 132-pound weight class Saturday.

Last March, a Husky won a state wrestling title.

Saturday, a Cougar won a state title.

It doesn't seem to matter where Zach Cullison wrestles. He just wins.

The Fallston senior—who transferred from Patterson Mill—won a decision in Saturday's Class 1A-2A state title meet in College Park, winning the 132-pound weight class. With a 6-5 decision against Middletown's Matt Capobianco, Cullison finished 36-1, according to MPSSAA.org.  

Cullison told Explore Harford, "I'm happy to bring home the gold two times in a row."

Other results, according to MPSSAA.org:

  • Fallston's C.J. Austin (37-2) took second in the 145-pound class.
  • Harford Tech's Dillon Brush (42-4) finished fourth in the 182-pound class.
  • Fallston's Ridge Myers (34-5) finished fourth in the 220-pound class.
