Harford Tech Blanks Warriors in UCBAC Baseball Clash

The Cobras shut out Havre de Grace on Tuesday in an Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference baseball game.

Harford Tech used a seven-run outburst in the sixth inning to blank Havre de Grace, 11-0, in an Upper Chesapeake Bay Athletic Conference baseball game Tuesday.

Here's the breakdown from Cobras coach Paul Danielle:

Harford Tech beat Havre de Grace 11-0 in six innings.  It was a 4-0 game going into the top of the sixth inning when the Cobras exploded for 7 runs.  The Cobras pounded out 11 hits during the game.  The attack was led by Nick Waite 2 for 3 with 3rbi's, a walk, and a stolen base, AJ Borg 3 for 4 with 2 rbi's, Kyle Zentkovich 2 for 4 with a double and 3 rbi's, Devin Chapman 2 for 4 with an rbi, and Jeremy Brown 2 for 3 with 2 walks, 2 stolen bases and 3 runs scored.

The Warriors were led by Stanford 1 for 3 and Nieves 1 for 3 with a double.

Nick Waite earned the win for the Cobras pitching 5 innings allowing 1 hit, walking 1 and striking out 6 Warrior batters. Owen Roger pitched 1 inning allowing 1 hit. Bolen took the loss for the Warriors.

The Cobras play Perryville tomorrow at Tech. It is a doubleheader starting at 3pm.
