Boys Basketball: John Carroll to Face National Power on ESPNU

Just a few days after finishing fourth in the prestigious Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament, John Carroll has been selected to play in the ESPN RISE National High School Invitational.

The Patriots are seeded eighth out of eight teams and will face top-seeded Montrose Christian of Rockville, ranked No. 3 in the country, March 31. The game will begin at 2 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPNU. Georgetown Prep of Bethesda is the host site.

Other teams participating are No. 5 Oak Hill (VA), No. 7 Findlay Prep (NV), No. 15 Winter Park (FL), No. 16 Dwyer (NC) and No. 31 Winter Park (FL). The eighth team in the field is to be determined.
