Fallston Boys Lax Claims Third Straight State Championship

The boys played at UMBC for the 2014 state title in 2A/1A lacrosse.

North Carroll High School went into the state lacrosse championship Tuesday afternoon knowing it had a formidable foe. Fallston boys lacrosse has held the state title in the 2A/1A class for the past two years.

After Tuesday's game at UMBC, the Fallston Cougars can add another year to its winning streak.

The Cougars beat the Panthers 17-7 in the 2A/1A state championship, according to the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA).

Cougars coach Matt Parks said that it was his team's best game of the season, saying in a post-game press conference: "I just can't tell you how proud I am of these guys....they definitely saved the best [game] for last."

The MPSSAA reports this was the fourth overall state title for the Fallston Cougars boys lacrosse.
