Forest Hill Resident, Orioles Umpire Attendant, Laid to Rest

Ernie Tyler was 86 when he died Friday.

Forest Hill resident and former Baltimore Orioles umpire attendant Ernie Tyler was laid to rest Tuesday morning at St. Ignatius Church in Forest Hill.

The 86-year-old died of complications from a brain tumor, according to the Baltimore Sun, early Friday.

More than 250 people, including former Oriole B.J. Surhoff, attended the Mass, the Sun reported. For the full story, click here.
