GIRLS BASKETBALL: Fallston Foils Overlea
Just before the boys team did the same, Fallston defeated Overlea on the road Wednesday.
Two-time defending state champion Fallston defeated Overlea 52-35 Wednesday night.
The Cougars defeated a Falcon team with three freshmen starters—and only one senior on the roster—after taking a 32–13 lead into the half.
"It's a rebuilding year for us," Overlea coach Rick Armijo said. "We made a lot of fundamental mistakes, but we're still learning. I'm pleased with how much we've improved since our first game."
