Purple pride is on overdrive in Maryland and Harford County is no exception, with Bel Air boasting two rallies Friday in support of the home team.
In honor of the Baltimore Ravens' upcoming appearance in Super Bowl XLVII, Harford County Government—together with Harford County Public Schools, Harford County Public Library, Harford County Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Bel Air and Bel Air Downtown Alliance—is hosting a Ravens Rally Friday afternoon in Bel Air.
The rally is scheduled to take place from noon until 2 p.m. on the parking lot of the Harford County Government building, 220 S. Main Street in Bel Air.
The event will feature local cheerleaders, food and merchandise vendors, live music, elected officials and prize giveaways.
Later in the evening, Bel Air Downtown Alliance will continue its own rally ritual with the third and final Ravens Rally of this football season.
The downtown alliance is planning a joint Halfway to First Fridays and Ravens Rally event 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 1 at Main Street Tower Restaurant in Bel Air.
The event will feature the Bus Boys, Fan Bus, Mr. Boh, Natty Boh Gear, live music, food and drink specials and a raffle. Admission is free.
