Harford Mall Mobbed for Ray Lewis

The Ravens linebacker signed autographs for about two hours Thursday night.

Fans waited as long as two hours for an autograph from Ray Lewis at in the on Thursday night despite a .

The store’s owner, Vicki Mengel, said she will donate some of her cut to charity, though she has not decided which one. Lewis said he will, too.

“Oh yeah, everything I do is charity,” he said. “It’s a lot of different ones.”

The future hall of famer but that did not stop many of the fans from wishing him well with the lockout. Lewis said after the signing he is not even working out to be in football shape, but for a lifestyle.

“Most of the time you can either do specific training for football or you can just do things that would help you the rest of your life,” he said.

Fans had everything from helmets to photos to jerseys signed. Mike Staubs, 40, of Reisterstown, even had Lewis sign above the Ravens tattoo on his upper left arm. (See photos.)

Mengel said more than 1,000 tickets—required for an autograph—were sold for the event. The signing began at 7 p.m.
