Harford County Farm Fair Opens Thursday

The 25th annual Harford County Farm Fair kicks off this week.

The 25th Annual Harford County Farm Fair begins Thursday, and Patch is here to help you find out where to park and when each event takes place.

Anyone who has attended the fair year after year has a favorite fair event. With a newly added spelling bee, talent portion and wine tasting event, the fair promises classic events as well as a few new surprises. The following are a few crowd favorites:

 • Fireworks—9:15 p.m. Thursday
 • Tractor Pulls—7 p.m. Friday and Saturday
 • 4H Livestock Auction—5 p.m. Saturday

Check out the attached schedule for .

This year there there will be no parking for the fair permitted at the or Bel Air and Fallston high schools. There is also no parking along Tollgate Road without a permit.

Instead, fairgoers are encouraged to utilize the available shuttle bus service and park on the Tollgate Road Blue Lot, at , and on Vale Road (see attached map).

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children between ages 5 and 12 years old. Children under age 5 get in free every day and senior citizens are admitted for $5 on Thursday only. Those with military identification will be charged only $6 admission.

There are no additional charges for fair activities and attendees can bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Personally, I'm a fan of the pig races. What is your favorite part of the fair each year? Leave a comment.

I support our farmers. My daddy was a farmer but the addmission prices for the Farm Fair are to high! State Fair is cheaper.

It is good to hear that such farm fests arise. It is very necessary to make people understand about the positive possibilities in this section. But these fests should be freely viewable so that many people can have a look at all its advantages. visit the site
