Weekend Events: Concerts, Yard Sales and Ladies' Night Out

Friday
It's hot but the music is cool at the free Concerts in the Park, sponsored by Havre de Grace Arts Commission. This week, check out the rock 'n' roll sounds of Big Cam & the Lifters at 7:30 p.m.

If you haven't made your way to Baltimore on a Friday evening for the Patio Party at the Maryland Science Center on its harbor terrace, you can check out blues group Kelly Bell Band this week. Cost: Free—and you can enter the Science Center for exhibits, an IMAX movie and a planetarium show for the special Fridays After Five price of $8.

Saturday
Looking for yard sale bargains? Look no further than the Evangel Assembly of God Yard Sale in Aberdeen. Sale starts at 8 a.m. and will be held rain or shine. 

There will also be a yard sale on Shamrock Road in Bel Air starting at 9 a.m.

Parents: If you're looking for advice from a licensed parent educator, check out "Gentle Discipline That Gets Results" Parenting Seminar at 9 a.m. at the Restore Church in Havre de Grace. Cost: $10 per family (childcare provided for fee, register in advance)

For free family fun, the Summer Fair starts at noon at the Havre de Grace Library. Enjoy a variety of games, crafts and other activities!

Restore Church Summer Stand (Baptism & BBQ) is an opportunity for the community to gather at Tydings Park for a free cookout at 4:30 p.m., live music from Beyond the Veil and a comedian at 5 p.m. and then a service and baptism event at 6 p.m. 

Don't miss the Susquehanna Hose Company's Ladies Night Out for those 21 and older at the Havre De Grace Community Center starting at 6 p.m. Admission includes food from area restaurants, two free alcoholic beverages, free tote bag filled with goodies, manicures, facials and door prizes! Cost: $12

Bull Roast catered by The Greene Turtle at 7 p.m. at the Bel Air Armory benefits the Harford Kicks Soccer Club. Cost: $35

Sunday
Looking to improve your wardrobe? Check out the Dress Barn Fashion Show, where a "fabulous night of fashion" will take place at the Dress Barn in the Perryville Outlet Center with raffles, item discounts and more. Cost: $10 (purchase at Restore Church)
