Bel Air Salon to Host Humane Society Fundraiser

A Kansas stylist's stop in Maryland during a 50-state tour will benefit the Fallston shelter.

A Kansas stylist is stopping at a Bel Air salon next month as part of a fundraising effort for animal charities.

The Saturday, Aug. 10 event at Persona Salon & Spa in the Festival Shopping Center will benefit the Humane Society of Harford County in Fallston. Stylist Patrick Lomantini, owner of a salon in Witchita, will perform 50 haircuts from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. that day. Reservations must be made by calling Persona at 410-569-0101. All haircuts require a minimum $10 donation.

Lomantini is making his third annual cross-country trip, visiting 50 states in 50 days, and performing 50 haircuts at every stop to raise money for animal charities, according to a humane society release. In his first two years doing the trip, he has raised $100,000 for local charities. This year, he'll be traveling with two fellow stylists, so he hopes to raise more, according to the release.

Humane society volunteers will be at Persona from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with some of the shelter's adoptable dogs and cats, according to the release.
