Cupcakes are overpriced and dry. Way too much icing and it doesn't have good flavor or texture. A lot of people I know buy them for the novelty but never go back. Good story (small business) but not great execution. Their win on Cupcake Wars was due to the utter incompetency of the other bakers.

Anna's tastebuds must be having a sabbatical. This is coming from someone who doesn't have a sweet-tooth, but every cupcake creation I have tried is perfection. The icing is not overly sweet nor heavy; more like whipped and fluffy. The cake part has just the right texture. I detect a savory-ness that balances the sweetness, and the aroma...the wonderful aroma...just completes the great sensation. Every cupcake is different in its own way. A lot of creativity went into the design and decoration and the recipe. You go girls...and guy!

I so wanted to love Flavor, but alas...couldn't do it. Tried their cupcakes on 3 occassions, and then also had them at a wedding last weekend. Each time I was hopeful but ended up disappointed: either the cake or the icing was sub-par. The icings seem especially heavy. Don't get me wrong: the cupcakes aren't bad; they're just not wonderful, and I expected them to be great given this is a shop devoted to them. They do have lovely toppings and look very pretty. And the staff were nice.
