Fallston BB&T Bank Robbed

The robber drove away in a silver car.

The Fallston BB&T Bank was robbed Monday morning, and police are looking for the man responsible. Shortly before 9:30 a.m. a man walked into the BB&T Bank located at 1911 Belair Road in Fallston, according to a release from Maryland State Police with the Bel Air Barrack. The man handed the teller a note demanding money from the drawers, the release states. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money from the drawers and coin vault and the robber ran toward Milton Avenue. He then got into a silver, four-door passenger vehicle and drove away, the release states. The robber is described as a white man, about 5-foot, 10-inches tall weairing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black knit cap, black jacket, blue jeans and robber coated knit …

Bel Air Sovereign Bank Robbed, State Police Investigating

The bank on Maryland Route 924 was robbed twice within less than a month.

Sovereign Bank Robbed, Patterson Mill Locked Down

A Bel Air Bank was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon.

A Bel Air bank was robbed at gunpoint Monday, prompting police and school officials to place nearby Patterson Mill High School on lockdown. Around 11:08 a.m. a man wearing a hard hat and dust or surgical mask walked into Sovereign Bank, located at 1816 Emmorton Road, according to a preliminary release from Edward Hopkins, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office. The masked man pulled a gun and ordered a bank employee to give him cash then ran out the back of the bank, according to Hopkins. No one was injured during the course of the robbery. It is unclear if this robbery is connected to several recent robberies around the county, Hopkins wrote. The school was placed on lockdown for a short time as a precaution while deputies …

Bank Robber In Neon Safety Vest Eludes Police

Maryland State Police released an additional photo of the man they say robbed the Fallston BB&T Bank at gunpoint Monday.

The gun-wielding man in neon safety vest who robbed the Fallston BB&T Bank Monday remained at large as of Thursday afternoon, police said. Shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, a man wearing a hard hat and a yellow and orange safety vest walked into the BB&T Bank, located at 1911 Bel Air Road in Fallston, carrying a duffel bag, according to a release from Maryland State Police. The man pulled a black “bull pup” style shotgun, demanded money and ordered the tellers and customers to the floor, the release states. The armed man then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the teller’s drawers and coin vault, the release continues. UPDATE (5:14 p.m.)—A man wearing a hard hat and neon yellow safety vest robbed a Fallston bank at gunpoint late Monday morning and remained at large that evening, police say. Around 11:02 a.m., police were called to the BB&T Bank, located at 1911 Bel Air Road in Fallston, after employees reported the bank had been robbed, a Maryland State Police trooper with the Bel Air Barrack said. The suspected robber of a Joppatowne branch of Harford Bank remained at large Monday morning.

  The Friday robbery of Harford Bank in Joppatowne remained under investigation Monday, with no further details released by law enforcement. Monica Worrell, public information officer with the Harford County Sheriff's Department, said on Monday that detectives are continuing the investigation. Worrell said there were no further updates in the case. Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, a man walked into Harford Bank in the 500 block of Riviera Drive in Joppatowne, according to a release from the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Alleged Virginia Bank Robber Sought Near Harford

Maryland State Police say the man spends time in Baltimore and Harford counties.

A 52-year-old man who allegedly shot at law enforcement officers during a Virginia bank robbery is sought by Maryland State Police, the FBI and Virginia police. James Whittlesey, a 5-foot-11 white male weighing about 235 pounds, may live in or frequently visit Baltimore and Harford counties, according to a release from state police. Form the statement: Officers from the Winchester Police Department have obtained an arrest warrant for Whittlesey, charging him with the attempted capital murder of a law enforcement officer, robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Reward Offered for Bank Robber's Capture

Maryland State Police are offering $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Maryland State Police are offering up to a $2,000 reward for tips that lead to the arrest of a man suspected of robbing the same bank twice in less than two weeks. The Madison Square Federal Saving Bank on Bel Air Road was robbed at approximately 9:30 a.m. Oct. 9. Bank employees told authorities that they recognized the robber as the same suspect who robbed the same bank on Sept. 30. According to a statement from state police, the suspect pointed a black handgun at employees when they refused to unlock the door leading to the bank lobby from the vestibule.
