Beagle Missing In Churchville, Bel Air

Have you seen this 2-year-old Beagle?

A newly adopted Beagle slipped her collar in the Churchville area, and her new owners and shelter family are hoping for a safe return. Jolene, a 2-year-old Beagle, was adopted from the Homeless Animals Rescue Team, or HART, based in Chantilly, VA less than two weeks ago, according to HART volunteer Lorelei Pate. Jolene and her new family were visiting friends in Churchville on Tuesday, when she slipped out of her collar and ran away, Pate wrote in a message to Patch. She was last seen along Maryland Route 22 between Harford Community College and Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. The Beagle is about 26 pounds and spayed, but currently has no tags or micro chip. She is described as sweet but very shy, having lived most of her life on a chain…

Jolene has been found!!! She just couldn't pass up the local stinky fried chicken the ACO put in the trap last night in a new location based on all the sightings the wonderful citizens of Harford County called in. She was caught this evening, is skinny but safe & sound & is being taken to the humane society where her overjoyed owners will be picking her up as soon as they open. So happy this girl…   more ›

Beagle Missing from Bel Air

The family of the 15-year-old dog is asking for the community's help in finding him.

The owners of a 15-year-old beagle are hoping for the safe return of their family pet. Stephanie Gambrill Streckfus posted on the Bel Air Patch Facebook page asking for help finding her husband's family dog, Joe. Joe was last seen Thursday, July 19 on Nova Scotia Road near the intersection of MD Route 543 and MD Route 136. While Joe is known to travel long distances, his family is worried. He is described as friendly, but almost entirely deaf and blind. "Please, if anyone has seen him you can contact me with any information," Streckfus wrote. Streckfus asks those with information either send her a message on Facebook or call 410-399-4072 and ask for Bill. Have you seen this dog? Will you keep an eye out for Joe?
