The cause of the man's death remained unclear as of Monday afternoon.
A 52-year-old man was found dead inside a Bel Air apartment Sunday morning, and police are investigating. Around 8:30 a.m. someone called 911 and reported a friend was covered in blood inside an apartment in the 200 block of Baltimore Pike and had possibly killed himself, call records show. The apartment is located behind a Bel Air business between Hays Street and U.S. Route 1. Bel Air Police officers arrived at the scene to find the body of Rodney Holmes Smith, 52, formerly of Connecticut, according to a release from the Bel Air Police Department. The investigation into the death of Titus Onuoha has been closed by police.
A Bel Air man was found dead outside his apartment in June, and police and the medical examiner have ruled no foul play was involved in the death. The body of Titus Onuoha was found in the 800 block of Old English Court on June 14. Onuoha's wife, Joy Onuoha, said detectives told her that her husband suffered trauma to the back of his head and neck, and she believed at the time that her husband met a violent end. The report from the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner, however, indicates Onuoha's death was caused by a medical issue. "There were no signs of foul play," Sgt. Police are investigating the June 14 death of a Bel Air man, and his wife is desperate for answers.
