Memorial Day Event Planned In Bel Air
The Town of Bel Air is scheduled to hold a Memorial Day ceremony in Shamrock Park on Monday.
For many Memorial Day means an extra day off work, cookouts, swimming pools and the start of the summer season. The purpose of the day, however, is to remember and honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in armed service to this country. This honor is not something forgotten in Bel Air. On Monday, Memorial Day, a patriotic program will be held in Shamrock Park located at Hickory Avenue and Lee Way behind the Bel Air Police Department. The program, which runs from 10:30 to 11 a.m., honors men and women of the United States Armed Forces with words, music and action. A Color Guard and flyover will be part of the ceremony as well as wreaths presented by each branch of the Armed Forces, according to the town's website. Have you been …
