Kingsville Man Charged In Series of Burglaries

Police believe Joel Lee Knauer is responsible for a number of burglaries in and around Harford County

UPDATE (11:56 a.m.)—A Kingsville man was arrested this week in connection with a series of burglaries in Harford and Baltimore County. Joel Lee Knauer, 35, of the 7000 block of Mount Vista Road in Kingsville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of first-degree burglary, six counts of lesser burglary charges and five related charges. Knauer allegedly broke into several homes in Harford and Baltimore counties and "stole copious amounts of money and jewelry," according to a release from Maryland State Police with the Bel Air Barrack. When troopers tried to take Knauer into custody Wednesday at a Middle River residence, he allegedly tried to run from police, the release states. Police recovered about 200 pieces of property …

Bel Air Crime: Residential Burglaries in Bel Air, Fallston

The following information was supplied by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

The following are recent incidents handled by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office: Fallston Boulevard in Fallston, 300 block, reported 10:31 July 12. Fraud and forgery were reported at the Fallston Walmart. Kirby Circle in Bel Air, 1200 block, reported 2:01 p.m. July 12. A vehicle was broken into and property stolen. Oakton Way in Abingdon, 400 block, reported 3:51 p.m. July 12. Jewelry was stolen from the residence. Kirkcaldy Way in Abingdon, 500 block, reported 4:04 p.m. July 12. The residence was egged overnight and siding was damaged. Fallston Boulevard in Fallston, 300 block, reported 4:07 p.m. July 12. Items were stolen from Walmart. UPDATE: Kingsville, Joppa Burglaries Possibly Linked to Perry Hall

Harford County police held a crime prevention meeting outside a Joppa church on Wednesday night.

UPDATE (6:45 p.m.)—Police are investigating at least 12 recent home burglaries in the Kingsville and Joppa areas within the past week, according to Harford County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Monica Worrell. Harford County and Baltimore County police officials said they are investigating likely connections between these and a string of at least six similar burglaries in Perry Hall. Most of the recent Perry Hall incidents occurred during nightime hours while residents were inside. Last week, police released a composite sketch of the suspected burglar, described as a white male with brown hair, 24 to 25 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot and 150 to 160 pounds.
