Now the only thing left for children to do is track Santa's progress as he delivers gifts around the world on Christmas Eve. Thanks to the folks behind the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) website, families worldwide can now follow Santa's Christmas journey in real time. The tradition started in 1955 after an advertisement for Sears Roebuck & Co. misprinted a telephone number for a special "Santa hotline." If you want to see a Christmas light spectacular, you have at least three options in and around Bel Air.
The Christmas holiday is almost upon us and if you haven't yet checked out the brilliant light displays around Harford County, Patch is here to help you find at least three homes worth seeing. It seems every year those who set Christmas lights set to music take on bigger and brighter challenges. This year, two households in Bel Air and one in Abingdon are drawing crowds to their respective neighborhoods. I've seen plenty of photos from fellow parents online recently. The images feature each family's Elf on the Shelf. They're hiding in tough-to-spot locations, playing with toys or getting into trouble. There are only so many hiding places left for elves before Christmas Eve comes.
