Driver Hospitalized after Crash Near Mountain Road

Fire officials said that a pickup truck crashed into a tree on Dec. 29.

A man was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Trauma Center after his pickup truck crashed into a tree in Fallston Saturday afternoon. At 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company (JMVFC) responded to a collision on Stratford Road near Mountain Road, according to a JMVFC-issued press release. Within one minute, volunteers from JMVFC arrived to find the driver of the pickup truck was injured. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Trauma Center in serious but stable condition, according to JMVFC. JMVFC said that Maryland State Police are investigating the incident.

Coffee Spill Causes Constant Friendship Cliff Crash

Catherine Bezanson was leaving Starbucks when she took a wrong turn.

UPDATE (1:27 p.m.)—Catherine Bezanson gave the Starbucks drive-thru a whole new meaning Wednesday morning. After spilling coffee inside her Volvo while pulling onto Constant Friendship Boulevard around 11 a.m., the 18-year-old crashed through a fence and over a short cliff to the parking lot below. The Bel Air resident escaped with no more injuries than a seat belt rash. There were no passengers in the vehicle. Motorcycle Crash Hospitalizes Bel Air Pair

The single-vehicle incident occurred in Jarrettsville.

A pair of Bel Air residents was hospitalized Monday night after a motorcycle crash in Jarrettsville. For instant updates, follow Bel Air Patch on Facebook and Twitter. Raymond William Hicks, 59, of the 2700 block of Forge Road, was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson east on West Jarrettsville Road when he crashed into a guardrail at about 7:10 p.m. Both he and Beverly Hicks, of the same residence, were thrown from the bike during the crash, which occurred near the intersection of Grafton Shop Road, according to an accident report.
