Forest Hill Accident Claims One Life

Police say the deceased was likely responsible for the crash.

A Friday morning crash claimed the life of a Bel Air woman. Around 10:30 a.m. Margaret Mary Campbell, 79, was driving a 2005 Ford Focus southbound on Grafton Shop Road in Forest Hill, according to a news release from Maryland State Police. At the intersection of Grafton Shop and state Route 23, Campbell allegedly failed to yield the right of way to a westbound 2005 Ford pickup truck, the release states. The Focus broadsided the pickup that was driven by David John Jockel, 57, of Fallston, it states. Campbell was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment where she later died as a result of her injuries.

Bel Air Woman Indicted in Fatal Car Crash

The car that Nicole Ashley Albers was driving hit another vehicle head-on.

A Bel Air woman was indicted Tuesday in connection with a July 2011 accident on MD Route 543 in the Bel Air area that claimed a woman's life. Nicole Ashley Albers, 28, of the 700 block of Farnham Place in Bel Air, faces charges of negligent vehicular manslaughter, negligent vehicular homicide involving drugs and related charges  Get daily and breaking news email updates from Bel Air Patch by signing up for newsletters here. Fallston Accident Kills Essex, Bel Air Men

Police say the driver of a Harford County Public Schools vehicle was at fault.

A serious accident in the Fallston area claimed the lives of two men Tuesday morning and closed a portion of MD Route 152 to traffic most of the day. Police say the accident happened when a Harford County Public Schools utility vehicle crossed the double yellow line on MD Route 152 in the area of Reckord Road, according to Monica Worrell, public information officer with the Harford County Sheriff's Office. The county vehicle, driven by 59-year-old Donald Jones of Bel Air, hit a GMC Terrain head-on and a Jeep, driven by 51-year-old Mike Euler of Fallston hit the GMC from behind, according to Worrell. The driver of the GMC, 46-year-old Ronald W. Buchholz of Essex, was pronounced dead at the scene, Worrell said. Jones died later that day. …

Darlington Accident Claims Life

One person died in an accident in the Darlington area Saturday afternoon.

A serious accident in the Darlington area turned fatal Saturday afternoon. The accident took place after 1 p.m. Saturday on Dublin Road, or Route 440, in the area of Route 1, according to a duty officer with the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack. The officer confirmed the accident involved a fatality. He added Troopers were investigating at the scene around 3:10 p.m. and little more information was available at the time.

Joppa Woman Dies After Accident Involving School Bus

No students were on board when a school bus and a passenger car collided on Route 7 in Abingdon on Feb. 7, but an 86-year-old Joppa woman who was trapped after the crash has since died.

An 86-year-old Joppa woman who was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after the car she in which she was a passenger collided with a school bus has since died. Marguerite D. Gude, 86, of Joppa passed away in the wake of a serious Feb. 7 crash that left her trapped inside her son's vehicle, according to Monica Worrell, public information officer with the Harford County Sheriff's Office. There were no further details about the circumstances of Gude's death as of Saturday. Joppa Woman Dies Days After Joppatowne Accident

An 83-year-old woman died on Sunday as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident on Feb. 9.

  An 83-year-old woman died Sunday after she was seriously injured in a Feb. 9 car accident in Joppatowne, authorities said. Catherine Josephine Miller, 83, of Joppa, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after the single-vehicle accident. She died of  her injuries Sunday, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Around 2 p.m. Feb. 9, Miller was driving a Nissan Sentra southbound on Joppa Road in the area of Trimble Road, when she passed through a stop sign without stopping, and continued driving across Trimble Road and onto a private lane, a release from sheriff's office states. Edgewood Woman, 30, Killed in Perry Hall Accident

An accident between Perry Hall Road and Miller Road on northbound Belair Road killed one woman and hospitalized another on Wednesday evening.

UPDATE (Feb. 9, 9:21 a.m.)—Police have identified a 30-year-old Edgewood woman as a victim of Wednesday's fatal Perry Hall traffic accident. Amy Marie Thiess, of the 1900 block of Sidnee Drive, was traveling southbound on Belair Road in a black Honda Accord shortly before 4:15 p.m., according to Detective Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman. Thiess' vehicle then crossed the center line, between the entrances to Perry Hall Road and Miller Road, sideswiped a Toyota 4Runner and collided head-on with a blue Toyota RAV4. Alcohol Possible Factor In Fatal Accident

The Harford County State's Attorney will review the crash investigation to determine whether or not charges are appropriate.

A Pennsylvania man died in an early morning car accident in White Hall Sunday, and police said alcohol may have contributed to the crash. Donald Vangosen, 41, of Fawn Grove, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Route 23, or Norrisville Road, when emergency medical personnel arrived, according to a release from Maryland State Police. Around 5 a.m., Vangosen was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier south on Norrisville Road just south of Harford Creamery Road when another car traveling north crossed the center line and hit his car head-on, according to police. Street Man Dies in Weekend Accident

A 21-year-old Street resident died Saturday after a head-on collision in Churchville.

A 21-year-old Street man died Saturday after a pickup truck crashed head-on into his car on Route 22 in Churchville, police said.  Joshua John Hanna, 21, of Street, was flown by medevac helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel, according to a Maryland State Police press release. The driver of a Dodge pickup truck, 26-year-old Jordan Craig Stewart of Churchville, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Victim in Fatal 543 Motorcycle Crash Identified

The incident happened at the intersection of Maryland Route 543 and Maryland Route 7.

Police have identified the motorcycle rider who died after Saturday night's two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Maryland Route 543 and Maryland Route 7 in Belcamp. Louis Goodman, 47, of Abingdon, died after his 2007 Harley Davidson was in a collision with a 2008 Chrysler Sebring driven by Angela Gonzalez, 29, of Millers, at about 8:30 p.m. According to a release from Maryland State Police, Gonzalez was driving south on Route 543 toward Route 7 and Gonzalez was making a left turn onto Route 7 from Route 543. "Both vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection," the release stated.
