Crews Remove Two Men From Susquehanna River

One of the victims was in "grave condition," officials announced.

Two adult males were removed from the Susquehanna River, near the Amtrak bridge between Havre de Grace and Perryville, early Saturday evening, officials said.  Havre de Grace police responded to the area around 5:15 p.m. after the two men began yelling for help. Police removed both men from the water as the Susquehanna Hose Company arrived on the scene to assist, according to Susquehanna Hose Company Chief Scott Hurst. Hurst said both men were transported to Harford Memorial Hospital, with one suffering life threatening injuries.  The official Harford County Md Fire & EMS PIO Media Page first announced the incident on Facebook. Police Identify Man Pulled From Susquehanna River

The body of a North East man was recovered from the Susquehanna River Sunday.

UPDATED (2:40 p.m.)—Havre de Grace police have identified the man whose body was recovered from the Susquehanna River. The body of Robert Drake II, 24, of the unit block of Red Toad Road in North East, was found floating in the water near Jean S. Roberts Memorial Park around 8:24 a.m. Sunday, police said. Police said the recovery came the same day that family members were filing a missing person report at the Havre de Grace police station. Drake was last seen in Havre de Grace around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, according to a Havre de Grace police news release. Male Body Recovered From Susquehanna River

The Susquehanna Hose Company pulled a man's body from the water near Jean Roberts Memorial Park in Havre de Grace Sunday morning.

UPDATED (1:15 p.m.)—The body of a man has been pulled from the Susquehanna River. The Susquehanna Hose Company recovered the body near the Jean S. Roberts Memorial Park beneath the Amtrak bridge that spans the river, Chief Scott Hurst told Patch. Hurst had no further details as the company's dive team was responding just before 11 a.m. Havre de Grace police spokesman PFC Jeff Gilpin said the man was in his 20s. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The cause of death was not immediately apparent.
