Arrest Warrant Issued in Dark Horse Stabbing

Police allege Tyron Lee Fuqua was involved in a December fight and subsequent stabbing outside the Bel Air tavern.

Harford County Police are seeking a Baltimore man in connection with the December fight outside Dark Horse Saloon in Bel Air that sent two men to the hospital with stab wounds. Bel Air Police today released a wanted flyer for Tyron Lee Fuqua in connection with the December incident.  A warrant has been issued for Fuqua's arrest. A number of witnesses identified Fuqua as one of the men involved in the fight Dec. 1, according to police. A warrant charging Fuqua with two counts of first-degree assault and three counts of second-degree assault is active through Harford County District Court, according to online court records. Detectives say Fuqua has several addresses in Baltimore City and may be working in Glen Burnie. Anyone with information…

Fallston Accident Injures 2, Under Investigation

Maryland State Police are investigating a Wednesday accident in Fallston.

Two men were taken to regional hospitals Wednesday night after a car crash in Fallston. MD Route 152 was closed to traffic for about three hours as police investigated at the scene, according to a release from Maryland State Police with the Bel Air Barrack. Around 8:30 p.m. a green, Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 22-year-old Nicholas Joseph Lotz was westbound on Connolly Road when it ran through a stop sign, according to state police. At the same time, Joshua Charles Wilson, 19, was headed north on MD Route 152 in an Isuzu SUV when the pickup hit his car on the passenger side, the release states. Harford County Rallying for Ravens Twice Friday

Harford County Government is planning an afternoon rally, while Bel Air Downtown Alliance has an evening event planned for Feb. 1, two days before the Super Bowl.

Purple pride is on overdrive in Maryland and Harford County is no exception, with Bel Air boasting two rallies Friday in support of the home team. In honor of the Baltimore Ravens' upcoming appearance in Super Bowl XLVII, Harford County Government—together with Harford County Public Schools, Harford County Public Library, Harford County Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Bel Air and Bel Air Downtown Alliance—is hosting a Ravens Rally Friday afternoon in Bel Air. The rally is scheduled to take place from noon until 2 p.m. on the parking lot of the Harford County Government building, 220 S. Main Street in Bel Air. C. Milton Wright Wins Harford County Swim Title

The Mustangs won the regular season crown, led by an undefeated girls team.

The C. Milton Wright swim team won the regular season championship in Harford County. The Mustangs girls (15-0) led the way for the team, which also went 15-0. The boys were 14-1. See the full standings included with this post. The county swim championship is scheduled for Feb. 5 and 6 at Magnolia Middle School. Have photos of your team in action? Congrats to CMW for the win, and to ALL the SWIMMERS who worked just as hard and did an amazing job!!! This was the WORST hosted HS event EVER! The people that ran it were on major power trips and nothing but RUDE! Sad that you cant even go to a High School event and enjoy the teams there and the people.. Harford County Under Tornado Watch

The watch will run until 2 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31.

Harford County was placed under a tornado watch Wednesday evening, according to the National Weather Service. The watch was issued at 6:39 p.m. and set to expire at 2 a.m. Thursday. The following is a Connect CTY message from Harford County: Good Evening, this is Emergency Manager Rick Ayers with an Emergency Message. Harford County has been placed under a Tornado Watch until 2 AM. Therefore, I ask that you monitor the weather and take appropriate shelter if necessary. UPDATE: Body Recovered From Aberdeen Proving Ground Pond

Emergency personnel were alerted to a possible drowning on post Wednesday.

UPDATE: (7:18 p.m.)—A person died on Aberdeen Proving Ground after an accident at an unexploded ordinance range pond Wednesday afternoon. Around 2:30 p.m. Susquehanna Hose Company's dive team was notified of a possible drowning on post by Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department, the Susquehanna Hose Chief Scott Hurst said Wednesday. The team arrived at the scene shortly before 3 p.m. to assist, Hurst said. The person involved died and the body has been recovered, according to a release from the U.S. Army Garrison public affairs office. The victim's name has not been released pending family notification. No further information was available as of post time.

Joppa Mother Charged With Murder In Infant's Death

A 9-month-old child's death was deemed suspicious earlier Tuesday. The mother is in critical condition after attempting suicide, police said.

UPDATED (Wednesday, 10:43 a.m.)—The mother of a 9-month-old is charged with the murder of her child in a case police had initially deemed suspicious Tuesday afternoon. Qucelia Yvette Baldeo, 19, of the 900 block of Scannell Court in Joppa, is charged with first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault and child abuse, according to a release from the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to the Scannell Court address at 1:33 p.m. Tuesday, where they found 9-month-old Selena Olivia Weber in cardiac arrest. Paramedics from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company rendered medical care to the child, who was transported to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 2:18 p.m., according to the sheriff…

Threat Yields Evacuation Of Harford County District Court

A bomb threat was called in around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The state office building in Bel Air that houses Harford County District Court was evacuated Tuesday morning in response to a bomb threat. No device or immediate danger was found in the Mary Risteau Multi-Service Center at 2 S. Bond Street, however. The threat was called in around 8:30 a.m. and courthouse staff decided to evacuate the building, Bel Air Police Chief Leo Matrangola said. Bel Air officers assisted in the evacuation. A canine unit from the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary, Matrangola said. The search was completed around 9:40 a.m. and people were then allowed to return to the building, Matrangola said.
