Manslaughter Trial Of Churchville Man Postponed
The charges stem from a 2011 crash that claimed the life of Joshua John Hanna of Street.
The trial of a Churchville man charged with crashing his car while under the influence, killing another man, was postponed Tuesday. Jordan Craig Stewart, 27, of the 500 block of Bryarly Court in Churchville, was indicted in October 2012 on charges of negligent manslaughter by vehicle, negligent homicide by auto while using drugs and six related charges. His trial was set to begin Tuesday, but instead was pushed back to June 10. The charges stem from a crash that killed a 21-year-old man from Street. On Nov. 5, 2011, Joshua John Hanna, 21, was driving a 2008 Hyundai Elantra eastbound on Maryland Route 22. At the same time, Stewart was driving a 1994 Dodge Ram pickup in the opposite direction.
