UPDATE: MdTA Worker Struck, One Man Killed Near I-95 in Joppa

Two men were hit by a car and one has since died, fire officials said.

UPDATE: (3:12 p.m.)— A 54-year-old man died and a second man sustained life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in the Joppa area Monday. Shortly before 9:25 a.m. two men—one 41, the other 54—were helping change a tire on a disabled vehicle on Mountain Road, Maryland Route 152, just past the exit from southbound Interstate 95 in Joppa, according to a release from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company. Maryland State Police said shortly after the crash that at least one of the men was a Maryland Transportation Authority worker, known as a vehicle recovery technician.
