Colin Wolf allegedly hit his 2-month-old niece in the face.
A Forest Hill man was being held without bail Friday afternoon after allegedly causing fatal injury to his infant neice while she was in his care. Colin Cristopher Wolf, 19, of the 2000 block of Bay Meadows Court in Forest Hill, was charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault and first-degree child abuse, according to a news release from the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Because the baby died, Wolf's charges are expected to be amended to murder, according to police. The charges stem from a Thursday night incident at the man's home. Alexander Kinyua of Joppa, who was initially deemed unfit to stand trial, has a plea hearing set for June.
The Joppa man accused of killing his housemate and eating part of the dead man's heart and brains has a June plea hearing scheduled in Harford County Circuit Court. Alexander Kinyua, 22, of the 500 block Terrapin Terrace, was indicted in June 2012 on charges of first-degree murder and use of a dangerous weapon in the slaying of Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie. According to charging documents, Kinyua—a former Morgan State University student—allegedly told detectives that he killed Agyei-Kodie, cut him up with a knife then ate part of the dead man's heart and brain before hiding body parts in his basement. Jeffrey Eugene Cordell is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a Harford County man while both were in prison.
The trial of a convicted murderer charged with killing his Harford County cellmate in the Jessup Correctional Institution in June has been postponed until autumn. Jeffrey Eugene Cordell, 29, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of his cellmate, Robert Joseph Tunnell Jr. in June 2012. Cordell was slated to appear in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Tuesday with a jury trial expected to begin in April, however both court dates have been postponed. The 21-year-old Tunnell, formerly of Edgewood and Baltimore, was found dead in his cell with signs of trauma to his body and a string around his neck, police said at the time. An Edgewood area man was arrested and charged Tuesday after allegedly shooting and killing an Edgewood teen and injuring another last week in what police believe may have started as a drug deal. Victor Levi Colbert, 32, of the 100 block of William Wade Avenue, was indicted Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder and wearing or carrying a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. Due to a glitch in the system, Colbert was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thurdsay in the initial district court case. Harford County District Court cases are typically considered closed after indictments. Because of this mistake, the hearing did not take place. The Dundalk man accused of killing a Bel Air resident last month is scheduled to be in court Jan. 10.
State prosecutors must today provide enough evidence to hold up murder charges against a Dundalk man accused of murdering a Bel Air man last month. Victor Levi Colbert, 32, is charged with second-degree murder and first- and second-degree assault in connection with the death of 52-year-old Rodney Holmes Smith. A preliminary hearing in the case is schedlued to take place at 11 a.m. in Harford County District Court. The hearing is essentially a show cause hearing where the state must show there is evidence the accused committed the crimes he is charged with.
