C. Milton Wright and Patterson Mill high schools faced off in baseball Wednesday.
The C. Milton Wright Mustangs out hit the Patterson Mill Huskies 7-4 in a varsity baseball matchup Wednesday at Patterson Mill. Chase Demars was two for three at bat, earning two runs batted in for the Mustangs. Pitching for the Huskies was Robert Besante for five innings and Alex Peters for two. The Huskies girls basketball team advanced to the MPSSAA's final four on Friday.
Patterson Mill continued its dominant run through the Class 2A East region Friday, blowing out Queen Anne's to win the region championship. The Huskies' 64-28 win finished a four-game run where they outscored the opposition by an average of more than 37 points per game. Patterson Mill advances to the MPSSAA Class 2A state semifinals, where it will face Calvert (19-1) at 5 p.m. on March 8 at UMBC's RAC Arena for a chance to advance to the March 9 championship game. With a semifinal win, Patterson Mill would face the winner of the other semifinal, featuring Randallstown (13-5) and Middletown (16-7). A Bel Air Bank was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon.
A Bel Air bank was robbed at gunpoint Monday, prompting police and school officials to place nearby Patterson Mill High School on lockdown. Around 11:08 a.m. a man wearing a hard hat and dust or surgical mask walked into Sovereign Bank, located at 1816 Emmorton Road, according to a preliminary release from Edward Hopkins, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office. The masked man pulled a gun and ordered a bank employee to give him cash then ran out the back of the bank, according to Hopkins. No one was injured during the course of the robbery. It is unclear if this robbery is connected to several recent robberies around the county, Hopkins wrote. The school was placed on lockdown for a short time as a precaution while deputies …

A boy was injured during a sporting event at the school.
A 16-year-old boy sustained serious injuries during a sporting event at Patterson Mill High School Thursday. Shortly before 4 p.m. a medevac helicopter was called to the school, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association. The teen suffered a serious injury during a wrestling event at the school, Gardiner said. No further information was available as of post time.

Patterson Mill High School students will perform "The Miss High School U.S.A. Beauty Pageant" on Nov. 9, 10 and 11.
Patterson Mill High School students will take to the stage this weekend for their Fall drama performance. The students will perform Miss High School U.S.A. Beauty Pageant at the school, located at 85 Patterson Mill Road in Bel Air. The show opens Friday with a 7 p.m. curtain. Another 7 p.m. show will take place Saturday and a 2 p.m. matinee is scheduled for Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. UPDATE (11:13 p.m.)—A student allegedly threatened to bring a gun to Patterson Mill High School two weeks ago, police confirmed. A freshman boy told two others students at lunch he had access to guns and wanted to shoot people in school, according to Capt. Keith Warner with the Harford County Sheriff's Office and a story on ExploreHarford.com. He told his fellow students his dad had a gun, Capt. Keith Warner wrote in an email to Patch Tuesday. A case involving an Abingdon teen—charged with raping a fellow Patterson Mill High School student last fall—was moved to juvenile court during a hearing Monday morning. The move effectively closes the case's outcome to the public, preventing media and community members from following further developments in the case. Kyle Burnett Reddish, 17, of the 100 block of Kensington Parkway, was charged as an adult with two counts of second-degree rape and six related charges in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a girl who was 14 years old at the time. The Patterson Mill High School senior is this year's student representative.
Patterson Mill High School senior Panashe Mutombo was sworn in as Harford County Board of Education's 25th student representative Monday evening. Mutombo steps into the role as the county's first student representative with partial voting rights. He was able to employ those rights Monday by voting in favor of the school system's branding initiative. The teen says he looks forward to representing Harford County's student body anyway he can.
