Man, Woman Run From Police After Allegedly Attempting To Cash Fraudulent Check

Two people recklessly led police on a pursuit from Edgewood to Perry Hall, police said.

A man and a woman dangerously evaded police Monday afternoon after a bank cashier suspected them of trying to cash a fraudulent check, according to a Harford County Sheriff's Office spokesman.  The pair tried to cash the check at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union on the 1300 block of East Pulaski Highway in Edgewood Monday afternoon, which set in motion a search for the couple spanning Harford and Baltimore counties.  A teller at the bank contacted authorities after becoming suspicious about the check.  The couple fled the bank after seeing police cars pull into the parking lot, Edward Hopkins, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office, said.  Hopkins said the pair drove recklessly, speeding through multiple red …

Four Charged In Fullerton, Towson Sprint Store Burglaries

Three men were arrested near Belair Road in Fullerton while a fourth one fled in a vehicle.

Four Harford County men were arrested and charged in connection with a pair of burglaries at shops in Fullerton and Towson Thursday morning. Sean Michael Hensley, 18, of the 1600 block of Swallow Crest Drive in Edgewood; Emmanuel Okey Ogbuli, 23, of the 1800 block of Eloise Lane in Edgewood; and Rickey Louis Dangerfield, 19, of the 1400 block of Skillman Road in Abingdon were arrested at the scene of the crime, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton. A search of online court records shows that all three men face charges of second- and fourth-degree burglary, attempted second-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property. Police: Bullying Not A Factor In Perry Hall High Shooting

Police revealed new details in the Monday morning shooting at Perry Hall High School.

UPDATE (1:20 p.m., Aug. 28)—Investigators do not believe bullying was a factor in the Monday morning shooting at Perry Hall High School, according to police. Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson, speaking at a news conference in Dundalk late Tuesday morning, dispelled rumors that bullying allegedly led Robert Gladden Jr., 15, to open fire on his classmates in the school cafeteria. "We are aware of many reports that the suspect was a victim of bullying. We cannot confirm those reports. Gladden's conversations with investigators have not indicated bullying was an issue in this case. The investigation is ongoing," Johnson said. Perry Hall High School junior Ryan Brady was "five feet away" from the 15-year-old gunman as a school counselor pinned the shooting suspect against a vending machine Monday morning. The incident took place Monday morning during the first day of the 2012-2013 school year.

BALTIMORE, MD -- UPDATED (4:19 p.m.)—A 15-year-old student shot a 17-year-old classmate at Perry Hall High School on Monday, the first day of the Baltimore County school year, officials said.  A guidance counselor at the school "heroically" stopped the attack by grabbing the shooter, police said. UPDATE: Kingsville, Joppa Burglaries Possibly Linked to Perry Hall

Harford County police held a crime prevention meeting outside a Joppa church on Wednesday night.

UPDATE (6:45 p.m.)—Police are investigating at least 12 recent home burglaries in the Kingsville and Joppa areas within the past week, according to Harford County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Monica Worrell. Harford County and Baltimore County police officials said they are investigating likely connections between these and a string of at least six similar burglaries in Perry Hall. Most of the recent Perry Hall incidents occurred during nightime hours while residents were inside. Last week, police released a composite sketch of the suspected burglar, described as a white male with brown hair, 24 to 25 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot and 150 to 160 pounds. Edgewood Woman, 30, Killed in Perry Hall Accident

An accident between Perry Hall Road and Miller Road on northbound Belair Road killed one woman and hospitalized another on Wednesday evening.

UPDATE (Feb. 9, 9:21 a.m.)—Police have identified a 30-year-old Edgewood woman as a victim of Wednesday's fatal Perry Hall traffic accident. Amy Marie Thiess, of the 1900 block of Sidnee Drive, was traveling southbound on Belair Road in a black Honda Accord shortly before 4:15 p.m., according to Detective Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman. Thiess' vehicle then crossed the center line, between the entrances to Perry Hall Road and Miller Road, sideswiped a Toyota 4Runner and collided head-on with a blue Toyota RAV4. Emergency units found Thiess dead on the scene, according to Batton. The driver of the Toyota 4Runner, a 33-year-old Jarrettsville woman, was not seriously injured and was not taken to a hospital. Man Charged in Fallston, Kingsville, Perry Hall Bank Robberies

Julius Elmo Montgomery of Bel Air has been arrested and charged with robbing three banks over the past three weeks.

Police say a man charged with robbing a Fallston bank on Monday is also responsible for robbing banks in Perry Hall and Kingsville last month. A man entered the BB&T Bank in the 2400 block of Baldwin Mill Road in Fallston on Monday morning, passed a note to a bank teller, demanded money and ran out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, Patch reported. Within a half-hour, the man, identified by police as 30-year-old Julius Elmo Montgomery, was involved in a vehicle accident in the 13000 block of Baldwin Mill Road over the Baltimore County line in Baldwin, according to Monica Worrell, public information officer with the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
