Road Openings For Election Day

Five roads that have been partially or completely closed will be temporarily re-opened Nov. 2.

The Harford County Department of Public works has announced the temporary re-opening of five roads to ensure more efficient travel on Election Day. The roads are: Vale Road is the only one of the aforementioned roads that has been completely closed, as there has been daily construction from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. The other four roads listed have been undergoing resurfacing, which Public Works will refrain from on Election Day. Vale Road will return to its regular closure schedule Nov. 3. "Those roads in particular are near polling places and we didn't want to be anywhere near them," Chief Engineer Jeff Stratmeyer said.
