Amber Woods, Neighbor

Amber Woods is a lifelong resident of Harford County with a BS in Mass Communications: Journalism & New Media.

While earning her undergraduate degree, Amber was a contributing writer for The Harford Owl and Towson University's publication,The Towerlight. 

During her senior year of college, Amber worked as a freelance reporter for The Gazette and a marketing intern for 98 Rock FM in Baltimore. Post-graduation, she was a full-time staff reporter for The Aegis; where she covered the education beat for a year before being promoted to News Editor of The Record in Havre de Grace.

Amber works as a government contractor, and also moonlights as a writer and editor.

Having always been a hobbyist, Amber graduated from Missouri Auction School in 2010, and enjoys various creative projects such as painting, gardening, going to auctions, cooking, and running.

Amber's passion for community journalism began at a young age. She is committed to providing thought-provoking ideas and interesting reading material to the community in which she lives.
