Thanks for your note. I totally agree with you on the "negativity"thing. I am tired of the constant dose of bad news. Even with the way things are, there are positive messages in the world if we choose to find them. Don't hold me to this, but I think The Food Project will be an annual event. I would suggest you contact your local church, shelter, or group as well. If you know someone personally who's struggling, consider helping them. If you're near St. Francis de Sales in Abingdon, food is always needed. Please consider purchasing a few extra items on your next food shopping trip, and drop them off at the back of church on Sunday mornings from 7 a.m. until noon. There will be ushers in the back who can tell you where to put your donations. I believe the St. Vincent de Paul Society volunteers are in the church hall every Thursday evening as well. Bottom line...make a difference wherever you can. Thanks for offering. kp
