Lil Brick, this is Mark. You got a lot more first hand experience about the black community than I. But the effect of govt is huge. If it weren't then the framework that the founding fathers laid out would have been irrelevant to our development of self-reliance that led us to success as a nation up to about who knows 25 years ago. Also you need to appreciate that being a white man, it is easy to let these events cause me prejudge EVERY black person, at work, in the airport, or on the street, and you know what legacy of suffering that caused the black race. So getting tough too fast causes other problems. If anything I appreciate that all of us are talking. It is almost like a town hall. BTW I also read that the military is preparing to secure cities in case the next economic downturn causes what we see today in London.
