Harford County Farm Fair: Event Lineup

The Harford County Farm Fair opens Thursday for the 26th year, and animals, face painting and family fun are on the agenda.

The fair runs 10a.m. - 10p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday on the grounds of the Harford County Equestrian Center located at 608 North Tollgate Road in Bel Air.

Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for children between the ages of 5 and 11 and free for those under the age of 4. Thursday is senior day when admission is $5 for anyone age 65 or older.

The farm fair includes 4-H exhibits, pig races, draft horse pulls, pony rides, a talent show, spelling bee, and watermelon and pie eating contests as well as more than 100 vendors.

Fireworks are scheduled opening night at 9:15 p.m. with a Friday rain date.

"New to the Harford County Farm Fair will be a Midway with Carnival Rides and games," a release states.

Thursday, July 25

• 7:30 a.m. – Prayer Breakfast
• 5:30 p.m. – Antique Tractor Pull
• 6 p.m. – Miss Harford County Farm Bureau Contest
• 9:15 p.m. – Fireworks (Rain Date: Friday, July 26)

• 7 p.m. – Lucas Oil Truck & Tractor Pull
• 7:30 p.m. – 2nd Annual Farm Fair Talent Contest - Semi-Final Competition Auditions: Thursday, July 20 & Thursday, July 11 (6 -8 p.m.)

• 5 p.m. – 4-H Livestock Auction
• 7 p.m. – Lucas Oil Truck & Tractor Pull
• 7:30 p.m. – 2nd Annual Farm Fair Talent Contest - Final Competition

• 1 p.m. Literary Spelling Bee
• 2 p.m. – Judging of 2nd Annual Seasonal Sensations Culinary Competition Registration form available for Professional, Amateur, Student Contestants Categories: Appetizer, Entree, Side Dish, Dessert
• 2 p.m. – Judging of "Fresh Baked" Peach Pie Contest
