The Forest Hill building will house 911 and emergency operations personnel.

Harford County officials will host a groundbreaking ceremony Sunday in Forest Hill for a new department of emergency services building.

The 2 p.m. ceremony will be held at 2220 Ady Road. County Executive David Craig and department director Russell Strickland are among those expected to attend, along with local, state and federal officials, according to a release.

When complete, the building will house the county's emergency operations center, 911 center and hazardous materials response team.
