Crime: Bel Air Plaza Graffiti, Australia Tiki Bar, Blueprints Stolen

Recent crimes as handled by the Bel Air Police Department.

Feb. 21, 10:40 a.m. A Bel Air woman, who lives in the 100 block of Idlewild Road, told police that fraudulent charges were made to her checking account at a Tiki Bar in Australia. The victim added that she was not in Australia during the time the charges were processed.

Feb. 20, 2:16 a.m. A 23-year-old Parkville man was cited for urinating in public. Police say John David Jackson of the 100 block of Colony Place urinated in the parking lot of e in the 100 block of South Main Street.

Feb. 19, 2:04–2:49 a.m. Officers responded to reports of graffiti in Bel Air Plaza. Incidents occurred at locations including o, Target and Wakefield Manor apartment complex, which is on South Atwood Road. The incident is under investigation.

Feb. 19, 1:41 a.m. A truck driver making a delivery to Target in the 500 block of Marketplace Drive reported that his tractor trailer keys, cell phone and a fire extinguisher were stolen from the cab of his vehicle while he was inside the store. There are no suspects or witnesses related to the theft at this time.

Feb. 18, 3:06 p.m. Students from Harford County Public School bus No. 929 were suspected of “pelting” union picketers outside of the Klein’s Shoprite in the 200 block of North Main Street.

Feb. 18, 1:46 p.m. Three girls who are students at School were suspected of theft from lockers during school hours and were referred to juvenile services.

Feb. 17, 1:44 p.m. A 34-year-old Bel Air man was arrested on charges of theft, burglary and trespassing. Christopher Montgomery of the 1300 block of Vanyan Circle is suspected of entering the rear door at Spencer’s in the Harford Mall and stealing property from a store employee. 

Feb. 17, 9:33 a.m. A 12-year-old girl was found outside away from school property during classes and returned to Bel Air Middle School.

Feb. 15, 4:24 p.m. A white male suspect entered the county planning office and stole blueprints for a proposed house construction in the 1500 block of Boogs Road. The investigation is pending recovery of surveillance video.

Feb. 12, 1 a.m. A pedestrian claims he was struck by a blue/turquoise 2010 Dodge Charger at the intersection of Hickory Avenue and Moores Mill Road and that the vehicle fled the scene. The apparent victim told police he suffered a cut on his kness, but that it healed by the time they arrived.
