3 Charged, 1 Still in Jail After McDonald's Burglary

A Forest Hill man is also accused of resisting arrest and damaging a police cruiser.

Two Forest Hill men and a Bel Air man have been charged with theft after a “coinage dispenser” was taken from the earlier this week, as .

One of the suspects faces additional charges after allegedly “damaging a marked Maryland State Police cruiser” while resisting arrest. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the unit block of Red Pump Road.

Maryland State Police said in a release that an anonymous tip led them to Patrick William Kruzynski, 18, of the 900 block of Bergen Court, and two alleged accomplices in the crime.

Kruzynski is accused of entering the McDonald’s wearing a mask before taking the dispenser, which contained about $100 in coins, according to police. Kruzynski was found in the 900 block of Gainsborough Court in , where Michael Otto Essig Jr., 21, lives. Also at the house was Jonathan Joseph Klein, 20, of the 400 block of Dellcrest Drive in Forest Hill. Essig and Klein have also been charged in relation to the burglary.

Police said they learned of Essig and Klein’s alleged involvement in the incident upon arriving at the house. Klein and Kruzynski have been charged with , theft less than $100, fourth-degree theft and conspiracy to commit theft. Essig has been charged with resisting arrest, malicious destruction of property worth more than $500, theft less than $1,000 accessory after the fact, theft less than $100 accessory after the fact and making a false statement to an officer.

Police told Patch on Wednesday that no weapons were used in the burglary and no one was injured.

Kruzynski is on probation for a marijuana possession charge in January. He also faces charges for alleged credit card theft, and use of a stolen credit card for a charge less than $100 in an Aug. 9 incident. He is being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $10,000 bail for the burglary-related charges, according to online court records.

Klein was released from the detention center Thursday and Essig on Friday, online court records state.
