Abingdon Man Surrenders to Police To Face Arson Charges

The suspect faces up to 70 years in prison if convicted for the incident.

A 25-year-old Abingdon man turned himself into the Harford County Detention Center on Wednesday night to face charges related to an April arson.

Andrew M. Dejuliis Jr. of the 200 block of Haynes Court has been charged with the “manufacture, possession and distribution of destructive devices, first-degree attempted arson, threat of arson and reckless endangerment,” according to a release from the Maryland State Fire Marshal.

Dejuliis is charged with throwing two “Molotov cocktails” at a home in the 2900 block of Shelley Court in Abingdon on April 25 at about 11:45 p.m. The incident did not cause any injuries or structural damage.

Dejuliis is being held on $500,000 bail and, if convicted, faces a maximum of 70 years in prison and $315,000 in fines.
