Armed Robbery at Churchville Road Pizza Hut

The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m., according to Maryland State Police.

UPDATE (Sunday (1:55 p.m.)—An unidentified male estimated between 18 and 25 years old is being sought by Maryland State Police after an armed robbery of Pizza Hut on Maryland Route 22 early Saturday.

The suspect entered the eatery with a knife around 12:30 a.m. and stole an undisclosed amount of cash along with personal items from one of the employees. He was described as a 5-foot-2 white male weighing about 175 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt—possibly with a "light logo"—a ski mask and black pants. He fled the scene on foot down Moores Moore Road behind the building, employees told police.

Police did not state whether there were any injuries.

The Pizza Hut is located near the intersection of Moores Mill Road in the 1200 block of East Churchville Road across from Greenbrier.
