Bane Announces Promotions for Command Staff

Harford County Sheriff Jesse Bane has announced the promotion of three majors and two captains on his command staff.

Maj. Douglas Verzi, who previously served as a captain in the Police Services Bureau, will now work in the Investigative Services Bureau. He has worked with the sheriff's office for more than 31 years.

Maj. Christina Prisberry will work in the Police Services Bureau after spending time as a lieutenant in the same department. She has more than 26 years of experience with the office.

Maj. Michael Capasso, who was most recently a captain in the Correctional Services Bureau, has been promoted within the same department. He has been with the sheriff's office for nearly 25 years.

Two former commanders were also promoted on Bane's staff.

Capt. Duane Williams will work in the Special Investigations Division after serving as a lieutenant in the northern precinct. He has more than 20 years of experience with office.

Lastly, Capt. H. Michael Gullion will move from his position as a lieutenant serving as Shift Watch Commander to Harford County Detention Center Operations. He has served in the Harford County Detention Center for more than 17 years.

"[These] promotions are a result of the individuals' ability to think strategically, the respect they have earned from their peers, citizens and colleagues, as well as their significant contributions to the Harford County Sheriff's Office," Bane said in a statement. "Their promotions and the assignments of my command staff members play a critical role in leading the Harford County Sheriff's Office into the future."
