Basement Door Set on Fire in Joppa
The blaze caused an estimated $1,000 in property damage.
A basement door was set on fire just before midnight Tuesday, causing $1,000 in damage, according to a news release from the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
About 20 firefighters responded to the blaze in the 200 block of Kearney Drive in Joppa.
The outside of a basement door was set on fire after being sprayed with a flammable liquid, the release states.

The incident is still under investigation. The blaze was out before Joppa-Magnolia, Aberdeen Proving Ground and White Marsh fire companies arrived, according to the release. There was no content damage.
