Edgewood Man Guilty of Murdering Daughter
Keaton Boyd Irons, 26, pleaded guilty Thursday.
A 26-year-old Edgewood man pleaded guilty Thursday to murdering his 14-month-old daughter and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Keaton Boyd Irons of the 1700 block of Fountain Rock Way pleaded guilty to second-degree murder of his daughter as a result of a June 1 incident at their home. The girl was taken to before being flown to Johns Hopkins Children's Hospital, where she died June 2.
The girl was treated for "blunt force trauma to her head and massive injuries with internal cranial bleeding," according to a release from Harford County State's Attorney Joe Cassilly.

When interviewed by deputies June 3, Irons denied knowledge of injuries to his daughter while she was in his custody. His 2-year-old son was home during the incident.
Judge Emory Plitt sentenced Irons to 25 years in prison followed by five years of supervised probation.

The girl's mother, Ashley Rosette, defended Irons in a victim impact statement.
“I know Keaton is a good father and would never do anything to hurt the children," Rosette said.
