Harford Sheriff: Bel Air 7-Eleven Robbery Suspect Turned Himself In

The Harford County Sheriff's Office said the man saw himself on the news and on fliers.

A man turned himself in after the Harford County Sheriff's Office distributed images taken during a 7-Eleven holdup on Bynum Road, police said.

The sheriff's office said they were contacted when Anthony Edward Rosiak turned himself in Thursday to the Bel Air Police after seeing his picture on the news and on wanted fliers.

Rosiak, 23, of the 200 block of Mardic Drive in Forest Hill, was charged with robbery and malicious destruction of property greater than $1,000.

The robbery charge stemmed from an incident at the Bynum Road 7-Eleven at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday, when Rosiak implied he had a gun, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, police said.

The malicious destruction of property charge was separate from the 7-Eleven incident and related to a burglary reported at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Spenceola Farms Community Center in the 1900 block of Mardic Drive, according to the sheriff's office.

"He was not charged with the burglary of the community center, as detectives learned he was a resident of the Spenceola Community and therefore was allowed to be in the community center," police said. However, the sheriff's office reported that Rosiak had reportedly caused damage to the building and was charged accordingly.

According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, Rosiak was being held at the Harford County Detention Center Friday morning in lieu of $75,000 bond.
