Man Treated After Abingdon Townhouse Fire

The blaze occurred in the 600 block of North Branch Court.

One man was treated for smoke inhalation Sunday after a fire broke out at a townhouse in the 600 block of North Branch Court in Abingdon.

At least six  vehicles were on scene as deputies investigated the blaze, which was contained in 10 minutes.

Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association, said the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is also investigating the incident.

Firefighters from Joppa and Abingdon volunteer fire companies responded to the fire, which broke out around 12:30 p.m.

The townhome is in the middle of a row of other residences off of Tollgate Road. The fire was found in the basement, Gardiner said.
