FOOTBALL: Panthers Pound Huskies
The Panthers remained perfect, and gave Patterson Mill its first loss in the process.
Led by two rushing touchdowns from Joe Peaker and an interception and receiving touchdown by Brian Matthews, Perryville dominated 20–0 Monday night in Cecil County.
The Panthers (4-0) took a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter when Peaker followed a 38-yard run with a 10-yard touchdown scamper.
The deficit remained at seven until Matthews caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Gabe Sherrod for a 14–0 lead with about four minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Matthews added his interception early in the fourth before Peaker capped the scoring with a 30-yard touchdown run with about seven minutes remaining. The extra point was blocked.
The home win gave Perryville a leg up in the Susquehanna Division standings now that it holds a head-to-head tiebreaker advantage against Patterson Mill (3-1). The two are considered favorites in the lower division this season.

Huskies head coach Josh Mason declined comment after the game.
